I have covered in another article here on perfectcube the plants that are most potent in eliminating indoor pollutants like VOCs etc in s study from Nasa and Indian PBC™ – STIP. Spider Plant, Areca Palm, Golden Pothos, Snake plant and Boston fern were among the named ones.
Another study on the “Effectiveness of Houseplants in Reducing the Indoor Air Pollutant Ozone” was released by Heather L. Papinchak1, E. Jay Holcomb2,4, Teodora Orendovici Best3 and Dennis R. Decoteau2 in the online version of HortTechnology. The study was based on the common house plants Spider Plant, Snake Plant and Golden Pothos and concluded that these plants are equally potent in eliminating indoor ozone released by all sorts of electronic equipment like photo coppiers, printing machines, some air filtering machines and so on.
