ezVisio video glasses: another step towards a confortable experience

It’s a fact that nobody likes watching movies on a 2.5-inch screen for a portable device and it seems that more and more companies start making progress in the video glasses area. Such a company is ezGears . Slip their ezVision glasses on and pop the earbuds in and you’re treated to a private screening with a virtual screen size of 50” and a relaxed viewing distance that’s not too hard on the eyes. As I was discussing in a previous article on video glasses this distance should be for a 50″ screen something like 3-4 meters.

ezGear’s ezVision video glasses are available in two resolutions – a 320×240 version and a 640×480 version, both of which deliver a viewing experience similar to watching a 60” screen from about 8.5 feet away (that would be about 2.6 meters). Both feature rechargeable Li-ion batteries and the lower resolution version is good for 8 hours of viewing.

As for pricing they cost US$299 (or US$399 for the higher-resolution X4 version, pretty expensive as I can tell but for the video enthusiasts it’s going to be heaven.

You can use these glasses with various sources, such as a portable media player or your cell phone. This technology promises to eliminate the dizziness phenomenon usually associated with this kind of display. And with these glasses weighing only about 40 grams, you’ll feel that you’re viewing a 40-inch screen from a distance of 7 feet.

  • realthor says:

Instead of some free self-advertising why not share some information on the products you sell…like which one simulates a 40″ screen at 7 feet and what is the tech promising to eliminate the eye-strain and fatigue, which by the way will occur when those 7 feet turn to 12-15 feet. After such a helping hand 😉 people will go to your site.
