recycled glasses collection might be just what you want for no more glasses missmatch
April 22, 2009
Have you collected over the time a vast stockpile of glasses all sizes and shapes? Looks awful right? While having different style glasses might be just what you want when you don’t want to mix up glasses at your next party, there is no unity in the aesthetics. A designer touch might be welcomed.
That’s where Michelle Ivankovic, senior designer for Umbra comes right on spot with her new Frosine sandblasted glassware. She wanders through thrift shops for the glasses that comprise her Frosine line of stemware. To give the collection some unity she sandblastes them to create a milky white finish. They are about 6 to 10 inches tall, and are sold in mismatched sets of four. Just perfect for the cheap guys to try a DIY project. Otherwise head over at Velocity – perhaps you can find them on more e-shops this is the first that popped in a google search – and you can have 4 at $50 (Shipping: Ships in approx. 2-3 weeks).
