Pure LIGHT – Fiberoptic lamp shines sunlight indoors

Seems like this green technology is getting much public attention. Anyway I mentioned it in another article and a few days away another article of the sort pops on Inhabitat.com (citing Domus).
This time it’s all about the main attraction in Vienna at the Haus der Forschung, a center for scientific research. It’s the work of an architect and an artist who have created a system of mirrors that focus the sunlight to a fiber optic that carries it into the house. It’s pure light, no heat.
I imagine this light getting into my home in the hot summer, while having all my windows closed. It’d be delightful. Many such schemes exist and many will appear and I only hope that they become cheap enough so I will afford them one day.
Meanwhile, here are a few photos of the system:

Piping sunlight to interior spaces such as
underground garages, basements, etc would be
great to save energy.
I would like to know where such systems and
products are available and some information
about cost.
Thanks.
